The Opportunity

Kindred Content teamed up with digital marketing agency Yakkety Yak for the second year to create a Giving Tuesday video campaign for the American Migraine Foundation.

Many people affected by migraine have said it’s like watching their own life on a screen, or always being stuck on the sideline. Using video as our medium gave us a unique way to help others visualize this loss, as viewers witnessed interviewees seeing the moments they missed for the first time.

The Reach

While the video was partially released on Giving Tuesday to fundraise for the organization, the primary purpose for this content was to start the conversation about migraine online. The foundation is focused on educating the community of people who have not experienced migraine and offering support to those who do. This project was accomplished in just one shoot day, but we captured enough to craft a full 2 minute video as well as multiple cutdown versions to be used across different social medias.

The Results

With over 120,000 views across platforms, the video brought support to an online community of migraine warriors and started the conversation for many others to share the moments that migraine has stolen from them.
