The Opportunity
When Kindred Content teamed up with OLFA, they were looking to create authentic product videos to reflect their updated brand image and appeal to industry pros.
The Reach
The Kindred Content Team created three versions of the X-Design Series video; surrounding the 18mm line, the 22mm line, and the full family as a whole. These versatile product videos appear on the brand’s website and their social media, as well as being able to duel as informational videos on retailers’ product pages.
The Results
Kindred Content used on-location application shots to provide ‘lifestyle’ context to the studio closeups in addition to table top footage that comes to life with a new graphic treatment that calls out features and benefits. Heading in a different direction than the brand’s previous product videos, we included new scripts talking to the customer, as opposed to talking at the customer.
We took their brand out of the studio and into the field to show Olfa knives being put to the test in real-world situations, matching the natural light and rugged feel of their highly stylized website imagery.
